The Knowledge Management Service Section (KMSS) is pleased to bring you the April 2019 issue of LibAlerts, to keep you abreast of new developments in your thematic areas. The April 2019 issue highlights our new arrivals: including print books, but also e-books as well as e-Journals, all with a focus on urbanization. KMSS would like to take this opportunity to invite you all to access a FREE TRIAL of over 70 e-journals on geography and urban & environmental planning, which available until the end of April — all from Taylor and Francis. KMSS also has another e-resource trial to share with you, Cairn.info. The website offers the most comprehensive online collection of French-language academic publications in humanities and social sciences, from more than 130 publishing houses. Some 500 journals, 400,000 full-text articles and chapters as well as 10,000 eBooks are available via www.cairn.info, covering a wide array of disciplines. Even French encyclopaedias — such as “Que sais-je?” and “Repères”— as well as magazines are also accessible via the website’s “Bouquets”. The trial will run till the end of May.
Finally, we are also pleased to announce the upcoming Book Talk by Ms. Tigist Engdaw, PhD from Addis Ababa University (AAU), who will present her book titled: “Peace Education for Youth Violence Prevention in Africa: Holistic and Integrated Approach, Case Study of Ethiopian Schools”; as well as a public lecture by Professor Michael H. Best, from the University of Massachusetts (Lowell), who will be discussing his ground-breaking book, “How Growth Really Happens: The Making of Economic Miracles through Production, Governance, and Skills”.
