The Research Support Unit is responsible for providing ECA staff and external clients with a range of support for their research needs. We have built comprehensive internal and external knowledge resources accessible to you through our library catalogue at your hand or on your desk or at our desk for physical checkout; created thematic research guides based on conference themes and current topics; presented Multilingual Open Access Socioeconomic online resources through our Federated Search Engine; organized ourselves to provide staff at Divisions and SROs with personalized assistance and consultation through our library liaison services; committed to promoting your work through our knowledge sharing events if you have published an article; readied ourselves to go the extra-mile so that the journal articles you want reach you even if we don’t have them in-house; developed mechanisms to alert you on our carefully selected hot topics of new and historical resources – Lib Alerts.

The Technical Services team ensures that KLSS’ physical as well as online knowledge holdings are properly managed, preserved, made easily discoverable and accessible.

The ECA Book Talk is one of its knowledge sharing events that is dedicated to promoting staff publishing. It provides an opportunity for staff who have currently published or in the process of publishing to engage their peers or get feedback on their work.
