KMSS Book Talk - A conversation between Rémy Rioux (AFD) and Vera Songwe - December 2019

The Executive Secretary, Dr. Vera Songwe, has the pleasure to invite all staff to a Book Talk followed by an interactive session with Rémy Rioux, the Chief Executive Officer of the Agence française de développement (AFD), on the occasion of his visit to ECA on 6 December 2019.
This interactive session will be held under the theme of Mr. Rioux’s book titled “Réconciliations”.
Currently, every single balance, whether national or international in nature, is being undermined by deepening economic, social, climate and geopolitical divides. Yet these divides provide us with a unique opportunity to re-emphasize the issues of inequality and the preservation of our planet. It represents an opportunity to patch things up.

The Knowledge Management Services Section (KMSS), in collaboration with the Communication Section, is pleased to invite you to a Book Talk titled “Inclusive Trade in Africa: The Continental Free Trade Area in Comparative Perspective”. Mr. David Luke, Coordinator (ATPC) and Mr. Jamie MacLeod, Trade Expert, ATPC who are co-editors of the book in question, as well as Mr. Melaku Desta, Principal Regional Advisor of the Regional Integration and Trade Division (RITD), contributor; will all be presenting. The book talk will be chaired by Mr. Stephen Karingi, Director of the Regional Integration and Trade Division (RITD) of ECA. The respondent will be Ms. Joy Kategekwa, Head of the Regional Office for Africa, UNCTAD.
